Community Reports Disclaimer

Marion News lets neighbors share road conditions, weather observations, and emergency-adjacent information fast. That speed comes with a trade-off you should understand:

  • Community reports are unverified. They are labeled "community report — unverified" and reflect one person's observation at one moment. Conditions change fast in the valley.
  • Reports go stale. Road reports grey out automatically after 12 hours and drop off after 48.
  • Official alerts are attributed. Anything sourced from the National Weather Service or another agency is labeled with that source. Everything else is not official.
